Let the celebrations begin.........
From the time the newly weds (you) enter the reception space together, up until the evening party frivolities are in full swing, I aim to capture those moments that you may (or may not) want to see.
Wedding Breakfast: As a rule I do not take photographs of you and your guests eating - these do not make for the most flattering pictures and you want to relax during this time taking the opportunity to enjoy being with everyone enjoying your first meal together as a married couple. Once all the plates are cleared and I've had a break (yes I need to eat too) then I will be back with you all to continue the story with the speeches, toasts and tears.
Cutting the Cake and First Dance: Still a tradition that most couples like to follow, the cutting of the wedding cake is a shot that I am more than happy to get. You can pose this if you wish rather than actually cutting it - this can be done earlier in the day after the Wedding Breakfast if you are only hiring me up until the end of the speeches. Then there's that First Dance. Be it a bit of fun or a fully choreographed set piece this is a snippit of history in the making. Enjoy it!
The party: These photographs can be some of the most 'interesting' of the day. Whether you have a live band or the resident DJ spinning those tunes, capturing dad doing the Dad Dance and Aunt Hilda strutting her stuff NEEDS to be preserved for prosperity for future generations to have a giggle or two over.
